Research and Innovation Hub drives the University's research and innovation agenda, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and impact. The mission is to advance knowledge, drive innovation, and foster socio-economic development in Zambia and beyond. This Hub is mandated to provide a formalized coordination structure and system for research and innovation at the University of Zambia. This involves ensuring that all research and innovation activities are aligned with the University's mission, strategic goals, and national development priorities.

Message from the Director's Office
The University of Zambia established the Research and Innovation Hub in 2024, previously called the Directorate of Research and Graduate Studies (est. 1994), with the mandate to coordinate research and postgraduate activities of the University. The Hub has three directorates, namely the Directorate of Research and Development (R&D); the Directorate of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Commercialization (DITTC); and the Collaborative Research Hub for Multidisciplinary Advancement (CRHMA).
