Participation Procedures

  1. Final clearance by the University (Obtain a clearance form from the Dean of Students Affairs Unit)
  • Your respective School/Unit/Directorate
  • The University Library
  • Student Finance

2. Payment of K400.00 participation fee:

  • paid via debit card (swiping) at Academic Affairs accounts office room 2 or
  • bank deposit using the following bank accounts:

3. Provide acceptable evidence of clearance at Academic Office in rooms: 6, 8, 10 and 14.

4. Collection of invitation brochures, instructions and name cards.

Be advised that registration for participation in the graduation ceremony will not be allowed beyond 30 April, 2023.

We are pleased to announce that the undergraduate gowns for the graduation ceremony are now available for purchase at the Customer Service Centre.

The undergraduate gowns are priced at ZMW2,533 each, and can be collected from the Customer Service Centre during working hours. The gowns are available in different sizes to fit each individual graduate.

The postgraduate gowns are priced at ZMW1,647 each, and can be collected from the Customer Service Centre during working hours. Please find below the gown purchase process.

  1. Deposit the requisite amount in any of the following bank accounts:

  2. Obtain an UNZA receipt from Academic Affairs Room 2 (Accounts) only
  3. Present the receipt at the Customer Service Centre for collection of your gown

Graduation day is a momentous occasion, and the academic gown is a symbol of the hard work and dedication that has been invested in achieving this milestone. We encourage all graduating students to wear their gowns with pride, and to cherish the memories that will be made on this special day.
