After graduating from the University of Zambia, Dr. Kanyinji worked for Hybrid Poultry Farms (Z) Ltd in Lusaka and Kitwe as Farm Manager. In 2001, he joined the former Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock as a Training Officer in the Department of Animal Science at Natural Resources Development College, where he was then promoted to be Head of Department. However, in December 2013, he joined the University of Zambia as Lecturer II in the Department of Animal Science where he has been serving till date. His research interests lie in the nutritional evaluation and utilization of non-conventional feed resources, which may not only mitigate the annual feed shortages experienced during dry months of the year, but also assist in reducing the costs incurred when rearing farm animals.
