Dr. Chewe Nkonde is an Agricultural Development and Markets specialist and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, School of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Zambia. His prior experience includes working with NGOs, agribusinesses, and farmer organizations on sustainable agriculture, market facilitation, and advocacy. Since transitioning to academia in 2007, he has 18 years of experience as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Zambia, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate economics courses, coordinating online learning, and supervising student research. His research focuses on agribusiness and entrepreneurship, agricultural markets and prices, and the food and nutrition security nexus. He collaborates with local and international partners and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, with over 650 Google Scholar citations.
