About the Unit

CTU is the Consultancy and Training Unit at the Centre of Information Technology at the University of Zambia ICT skills that you need in this fast-growing economy need everyone to have ICT skills. This is the place. Here at CTU, we meet the needs of both the working class and those not in formal employment, and our courses are offered both using CBTs and instructor-led methods. No need for academic papers for you to earn such an important skill. So are you a student or just completed your grade twelve or indeed working, come to CTU at UNZA.


History

The Consultancy and Training Unit (CTU) is the consultancy wing of the Centre for Information Communication Technology (CICT) formerly the Computer Centre at the University of Zambia (UNZA). The CICT at UNZA is one of the first places in Zambia to acquire and operate Computer Systems. The centre was used as a data processing centre for many government agencies. CICT has kept itself abreast with the changes in technology and remains a pioneer in the use of ICTs.
Since its inception in 1996, the Consultancy and Training Unit has been providing quality training in ICTs to Staff, students, and clients outside the University. Our consultants are taken from other sections of the CICT and the University at large. These consultants are experts in their fields and use this pool of knowledge in their daily duties.

To provide high-quality ICT training, consultancy and other services to the UNZA community, the government, private sector, NGOs and the general public.
