The Unit is accredited as an International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) centre, offering training in ICDL and also administering ICDL exams to the University community and the general public.
Other IT training includes Linux System Administration, Website design, Geographical Information System, Web Application Development, Windows Server Administration 2008, Information Systems Audit, IT Security, different Programming languages, Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and many others.
CTU in conjunction with the Geography Department and the School of Mines has undertaken tailor-made Diploma in Geographical Information System to participants [Licensing officers] from the Ministry of Mines, in a department called Cadastre. The diploma has been running for a period of six months.
