Haatembo Mooya obtained his PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of
Zambia, Zambia and Leiden University, the Netherlands in 2015. Haatembo is currently the
coordinator for the centre for the Promotion of Literacy in Sub-Saharan Africa (since 2021) –
a research Centre domiciled at the University of Zambia (UNZA) in the Department of
Psychology. He is also a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Psychology (UNZA), a
position he has held since 2009. Haatembo has vast extensive experience in project
managed and team leadership and coordination and has led several local and international
research studies. Haatembo has a strong background in quantitative techniques in study
design and data analysis and qualitative approaches including designs, tools and analyses
techniques.
