Established in 1966, two years after independence, the University of Zambia was the first University in Zambia. Today, the University of Zambia is the leading provider of higher education in the Country, offering over 160 degree programmes including Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD.

The University of Zambia has 31,000 students supported by 2,700 employees of whom 810 are academic staff.

The University of Zambia has over 40,000 alumni supporting the business and the not for profit sector globally. Today, the university of Zambia graduates, on average, 4,500 students per annum, creating a robust pipeline for alumni relations and advancement in the foreseeable future.
